In this role, you will ensure the stability, availability, and performance of our client's cutting-edge gaming and sports betting platforms used by thousands of customers daily.Your key job responsibilities as the IT Production Manager in Johannesburg, South Africa will include:

Take ownership of production environments, ensuring maximum uptime and performance for gaming and betting operations.
Manage seamless software deployments across Development, UAT, and Production environments, with a sharp eye for troubleshooting and optimising processes.
Implement and drive ITIL-aligned processes to ensure operational excellence, including incident, problem, and change management.
Collaborate with DevOps, Development, QA, and Product teams to support fast release cycles with minimal disruption.
Oversee server architecture, including deployment, configuration, and maintenance to ensure scalability and security.
Manage IIS and web servers to support high-volume, real-time applications with optimal performance.
Administer SQL Server environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance tuning.
Configure and maintain load balancers to optimise traffic distribution and platform resilience.
Support and manage cloud infrastructure on Azure and/or AWS for scalable, secure operations.
Contribute to Business Intelligence initiatives by supporting data availability for reporting and analytics.
Lead proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning to keep platforms ahead of peak usage demands.

Requirements for this IT Production Manager job in Johannesburg, South Africa:

ITIL Certified (essential).
Azure and/or AWS Certification (preferred).
Proven experience managing production IT environments in high-transaction industries; iGaming or Sports Betting experience is a major advantage.
Strong background in DevOps practices, automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
Solid experience with Agile methodologies and working within Agile delivery teams.
Extensive experience managing IIS and web servers.
Strong SQL Server administration skills, including performance tuning and optimisation.
Experience with load balancer configuration in high-traffic environments.
Deep understanding of software deployments, troubleshooting, and operational risk management.
Knowledge of server architecture design, deployment, and maintenance.
