- Monitor SIEM platforms for suspicious activity and threats.
- Analyse logs from security tools to detect incidents.
- Assist in investigating and escalating security alerts.
- Support incident response, including containment and recovery.
- Work with senior staff on malware, phishing, and access issues.
- Help manage firewalls, endpoint policies, and vulnerabilities.
- Stay informed on emerging threats and threat intelligence.
- Support compliance efforts (e.g., ISO 27001).
- Document incidents and maintain SOPs.
- Provide security support to internal and external users.
- Assist in tuning and configuring security tools.
- Collaborate with SOC, network, and IT teams.
- CompTIA Security+ (Highly Recommended)
- Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
- Certified SOC Analyst (CSA) - EC-Council
- Fortinet NSE 1, 2 & 3
- Cisco CyberOps Associate
- Fundamentals, CSA, Fortinet NSE 1-3, Cisco CyberOps).
- 2-3 years' experience in IT security, SOC operations, or IT support with a security focus.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools, log analysis, and security monitoring.
- Basic knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and cloud security (Azure, AWS, Microsoft Defender).
