Our FMCG client is looking for a dynamic, results-driven Sales and Distribution Manager to join our commercial team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing a disciplined and motivated sales force in order to achieve budgeted sales volumes, excellent market execution and to preparing an annual operating budget and operate within the limits throughout the year.Duties:Ensuring that the budgeted sales are achieved every month.
Continuously monitoring the availability of products in trade and developing new outlets to cater for gaps that may exist
Ensuring that all merchandising material, displays, and outdoor advertising are of the highest standard, and are utilized effectively
Managing and controlling operational costs, Total Cost of Distribution, LMV mileage, ullages, and promotions
Ensuring superior customer service excellence.
Identifying training needs for trade and instituting relevant training to cater for such.Exercising strict control over trade debtors, ensuring that credit terms and limits set from time to time are strictly adhered to.
Providing Sales Representatives with guidance and direction in the preparation of their cycle plans and on-the-job training on an on-going basis.
Preparing and submitting to the Regional Sales Manager the following reports i.e. Retail Audit Report
Monthly Sales Variance Reports
Monthly Sales & Distribution Reports
3-year S&D Strategic Plan
Annual S&D Business plan
Maximizing sales through the retail liquor infrastructure.
Managing for increased liquor market share.
Ensuring high standards of safety, health, and environment in trade and Depots.
Driving competence acquisition.Requirements:Matric
A Degree in Sales/ Marketing/Business Studies/Economics or any equivalent
A post Graduate Diploma in Marketing/Logistics will be an added advantage
At least two years’ hands on Sales and Distribution/ Marketing experience in a FMCG environment.
A Clean Class 4 Driver’s LicenseInnovative with good interpersonal, negotiation analytical and critical skills.
Good knowledge of markets.
Mature, highly disciplined and ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
Be computer literate.
Have a working knowledge of Safety, Health, and Environmental Management Systems.
Must be self-driven.
