Job SummaryWell established company based in Gqeberha are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Toolmaker to join the automotive manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining and repairing tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures to ensure optimal production performance. This role plays a vital part in maintaining high-quality standards and supporting production efficiencyRequirements:Trade Tested Toolmaker (Red Seal certification preferred)Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Toolmaker in an automotive or high-volume manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of machining, tooling and CNC programmingAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD designsExcellent attention to detail and precisionGood problem-solving skills and a proactive attitudeExperience with injection moulding or press tools (advantageous)Familiarity with ISO/TS 16949 quality systems (advantageous)CAD/CAM software proficiency (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam) (advantageous)Key Responsibilities:Manufacture, assemble, and repair tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures to precise specificationsInterpret technical drawings and blueprints to produce componentsOperate milling machines, lathes, grinders, and other precision equipmentConduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of toolsEnsure tools meet required tolerances and quality standardsCollaborate with engineering and production teams to optimise tool design and functionalityMaintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety standardsRecord maintenance and repair activities accuratelyShould you wish to apply please submit your CV through for consideration.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
