Job Summary Leading national packaging manufacturer requires an experienced Sales Consultant in the packaging / plastics / FMCG industry, who enjoys hunting for new business. Will cover East London and surrounds. Requirements for position: * Must live in East London and have a strong, established sales network in the area * 3 to 5 years external sales experience in the plastics / packaging / FMCG industry * Matric minimum, related sales qualification advantageous * Able to speak English, additional ability to speak isiXhosa a plus * Must enjoy hunting for new business * Have a proven track record in sales of sourcing new business and growing of sales budgets * Must be prepared to travel to Queenstown/Komani, Mthatha as required * Computer literate * Own transport Monthly remuneration on offer: * R28 000 to R35 000 basic depending on experience * R5500 car allowance * Additional perks - fuel card, cellphone allowance, medical aid, pension, annual bonus Key performance areas: * Build strong relationships with customers, personally and professionally * Understand the customer's business and provide them with packaging solutions, not just products * Meet and exceed monthly sales budgets and targets * Source new business and opportunities to fill up machine capacity * Attend to customer complaints effectively, respond within 24 hours * Effectively manage price increases with customers * Able to write and manage budgets, weekly estimates and sales reports * Provide forecasts to ensure availability of the right products at the right time * Analyse what competitors are doing in terms of pricing strategies, customers perceptions of them etc. * Lead Design Review meeting for new products and changes in current products * Daily reporting on customer and feedback Contact Scott on 0117041302McKessar RecruitmentRandburg2-10RecruiterAboutWe are specialist recruiters in the following industries : 1.) high speed packaging (FMCG), 2.) plastics packaging and 3.) industrial pumps and valves.
