Seeking a Maintenance Planner to join and be part of a purpose-driven team and find a place to grow and make a real impact in shaping a sustainable future. This position is located in Port Elizabeth.Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Maintenance team in order to ensure that the power plant targets are achieved safely, efficiently and within the company rules and procedures, OEM guidelines, legal, environmental, contractual and other requirements.
- Manage the planning and scheduling of the daily operations & maintenance plant activities, including emergency and/or breakdowns through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (Maximo).
- Chairs the works management meetings.
- Coordinate operations & maintenance activities with finance and accounting, administration, maintenance and HSE departments.
- Consult with the warehouse and/or procurement sections to establish the external lead times for required services and material.
- Coordinate development of the short- and long-term operation and maintenance strategy for the plant.
- Manage the development and update the appropriate procedures and computerized maintenance management system and processes.
- An accredited Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering diploma or degree.
- Demonstrated competence at engineering level supported by relevant education and training.
- At least 5 years' experience in the operation & maintenance of a large power plant, 2 of which should preferably be in the capacity of a planning and scheduling role.
- Knowledge and experience of Gas Turbine operation, v94.2 Siemens or Ansaldo units preferred.
- Coordinating, planning and scheduling.
- Use of safe systems of work.
- Use of computerized maintenance management system (Maximo/SAP).
- Engineering concepts and principles.
