Job Summary Hire Resolve's client, who offers the highest quality construction, project management and specialist subcontracting services, is searching for a Site Engineer to join their team in Cape Town.:Manage site teams by assigning specific tasks and monitoring output per section of workManage subcontractors and trades on sitePrepare, set, and maintain project targets in line with master programmesCoordinate and manage inspections with QA/QC teamsArrange and lead regular site meetings, including safety committee meetingsUpdate project programmes and create short-term schedules for review by PM/CMEnsure production teams are working from correct and up-to-date informationTechnical Responsibilities:Identify, raise, and resolve technical queriesPrepare detailed contractor reportsEstablish, report, and close out non-conformancesFormulate and implement method statements for on-site tasksHealth, Safety, and Environmental:Maintain good housekeeping at all timesPromote and implement good health and safety practicesManage waste, losses, and theft through regular checksCost Control:Place orders for approval by Site Agent, Contracts Manager, or Quantity SurveyorManage material control, including monitoring breakages and ensuring correct allocationsAssist Quantity Surveyor with instructions, ensuring timely costing and submission:Qualifications:National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Building Science or Civil Engineering from an accredited institutionSACPCMP registration is advantageousExperience:6-8 years' experience in the construction industryMinimum of 3 years in a senior roleKnowledge and Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and ExcelWorking knowledge of CCS planning and estimating softwareFamiliar with Construction Regulations and building contracts/specifications (JBCC/NEC)Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety regulationsStrong mathematical and analytical skillsEffective team leadership and collaboration abilitiesDedicated and hardworking work ethicAbility to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specificationsSolid understanding of construction materials and building practicesCompetent in budgeting and cost controlExcellent attention to detailStrong communication skills
