Senior Mechanical Engineer

• Lead and mentor junior engineers, technicians, and technical staff.
• Oversee technical documentation, calculations, finite element analysis, and design processes.
• Manage concept identification, trade-off studies, and detail design activities.
• Ensure designs are fit-for-purpose, compliant with safety standards, and meet client requirements.
• Manage project design teams, providing technical feedback and support.
• Take ownership of all technical aspects of allocated projects, supporting the Project Manager.
• Assist with the development and implementation of engineering procedures, standards, and departmental plans.
• Maintain up-to-date engineering reference material.
• Oversee installation and commissioning phases, ensuring smooth project handover.

• B. Tech / B. Sc / B. Eng degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
• 8–10 years’ technical experience in a Lead Engineer role.
• Professional Engineer registration with ECSA.
• Strong background in Mining, Oil & Gas, Mineral Processing, or Heavy Engineering sectors.
• Experience applying marine design codes (DNV, Lloyds & ABS).
• Proven technical leadership with the ability to manage small to medium-sized teams.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to technical excellence.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours when required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, and 3D CAD software.
