
Retail Manager – Butchery/Chicken

- Manage and oversee daily store operations, including staff supervision and scheduling
- Ensure excellent customer service and handle client queries or complaints professionally
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage suppliers to ensure the availability of products
- Maintain quality, hygiene, and food safety standards at all times
- Drive sales and meet store targets through effective merchandising and promotions
- Manage cash-ups, banking, and financial controls within the store
- Train, motivate, and develop staff to deliver high performance
- Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
- 3–5 years’ retail management experience (butchery/poultry/FMCG industry advantageous)
- A Retail Management or Business Administration certificate/diploma (advantageous)
- Food Safety / Hygiene Certificate (advantageous)
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Knowledge of stock control, ordering, and supplier management
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment
- Must be flexible to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
