Requirements:
  • Has strong hands-on technical ability, ideally with a background in installations or DIY-type projects.
  • Can quickly identify issues such as mismatched installations, untidy cabling, or other on-site problems.
  • Is confident managing people while being willing to jump in to troubleshoot technical challenges.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 35 years experience in installation coordination, project management, or a similar operational role, preferably within AV, display, or office solutions.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in product installations, field service, or technical support (e.g., interactive boards, display systems, conferencing solutions).
  • Proven track record of managing Proof of Concept (PoC) deployments or field-based technical demonstrations.
  • Familiarity with project planning and scheduling tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or Trello, as well as CRM or job tracking systems.
  • Relevant technical, engineering, or IT qualification (e.g., NQF Level 5+ diploma or similar) preferred.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Project Management
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee installation projects across multiple regions.
  • Manage Proof of Concept (PoC) deployments and ensure seamless transition to operational support.
  • Develop project timelines, allocate resources, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Coordination & Communication
  • Act as the primary liaison between customers, internal teams, and external contractors.
  • Coordinate site bookings, installer schedules, and equipment logistics nationally.
  • Provide clear project updates and resolve escalations promptly.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Ensure all installations meet technical specifications, safety standards, and Parrot quality benchmarks.
  • Conduct post-installation reviews, document outcomes, and recommend process improvements.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements during installations.
Technical Support
  • Offer technical guidance and on-site troubleshooting to installation teams.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of Parrots AV and interactive solutions (e.g., display systems, interactive whiteboards, conferencing products).
  • Assist in developing training materials and best practice guidelines for installation teams.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor installation KPIs, including timelines, costs, and customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and propose process enhancements.
  • Prepare regular status reports for management and stakeholders.
