The purpose of the position is to provide a proficient nursing service within the policies and procedures, governing legislation and good corporate governance in order to ensure satisfaction of customer needs, demands and preferences.CRITICAL OUTPUTS:Prepare all the necessary instruments and equipment for the procedure with regards to anaesthesia.
Work alongside the anaesthetist, providing instruments, medicine and other materials as required, and be able to anticipate their requirements.
Assisting the scrub nurse and acting as the link between the surgical team and other parts of the theatre and hospital.
To prevent cross infection by adhering to policies / procedures.
Assist with smooth functioning of the operating room procedures where allocated for the day.
To document / record all findings correctly in patients file.
To use resources appropriately without wastages and abuse of equipment and consumables.REQUIREMENTS:Grade 12
Qualified as Enrolled Nurse
Current registration with SANC
