Flamboyant is an independent remedial school in White River, Mpumalanga. We follow the CAPS mainstream curriculum with a strong focus on small classes (12:1) and individualised support. Our experienced teachers use a variety of strategies to help learners overcome barriers, make consistent progress, and reach their academic potential. Flamboyant strives to be the centre of remedial education in Mpumalanga, offering a specialised service within a nurturing Christian ethos.Key Responsibilities
- Teach English Home Language and/or English First Additional Language (Grade 4-7).
- Support literacy development and diverse learning needs.
- Assist and coach in the school's sports programme.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
- Contribute to the broader life of the school and uphold its ethos.
- A recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed or equivalent) with a specialisation in English and/or Intermediate Phase.
- Experience teaching English in the Intermediate Phase.
- Ability to support learners with barriers to learning.
- Enthusiasm for and experience in school sport.
- Bilingual: English and Afrikaans.
- SACE registration (or proof of application).
- Must be a South African Citizen.
- Clear Criminal Clearance Certificate.
- Experience in an ISASA school and/or with the IEB curriculum.
- Knowledge and/or experience in remedial teaching.
