Our client is a leading player in the high-tech laboratory infrastructure space. They design, supply and implement critical systems used in medical research, pharmaceutical, and healthcare environments. Their focus is delivering turnkey HVAC and cleanroom solutions to some of the most advanced facilities across South Africa and neighbouring regions.As the Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the full HVAC design lifecycle—from conceptual layouts to commissioning—in specialist environments like laboratories, clinics, and cold rooms. You’ll ensure that all solutions meet national and international standards, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and deliver technically sound and compliant systems for temperature, airflow, and air purity control.Requirements:
  • BEng or BSc in Mechanical Engineering
  • ECSA professional registration (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng) is a must
  • Minimum 5 years HVAC experience in laboratory, cleanroom, or clinical facility environments
  • Strong knowledge of cold room systems and cleanroom HVAC standards
  • Ability to lead projects from design to implementation, including working with contractors and consultants
