Senior Production Quality Controller - FMCG Industry - Cape TownFull job descriptionMain Purpose of the Job:To analyse and prevent online quality and food safety issues on the production floor and to assure a compliant product and efficient production output.To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:BSC Chemistry/BSC Biochemistry or B-Tech Degree in Chemistry or BTech Degree in Food Technology.Experience and knowledge of food processing, food analysis (Lab Analysis), food safety/quality standards (e.g. HACCP, FSSC22000, ISO9001 etc.)Working with people / Supervision / Team work and leading projects.A minimum of 3 years relevant experience within a manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:Process checks, analysis and troubleshooting and Information gathering.Assistance in the Lab with chemistry and physical property evaluation of food products and raw materials as required.Rework support.Operator technical training/ support (i.e. revision of SOPs)Mini projects, including process improvement relating to food safety, quality, productivity, safety etc.Quality Control in terms of testing / analytical functions for both Main Plant and Jowells production as required, online quality control of packing material and labeling.Optimizing product quality and output. • Online processes enhancements / adjustment.Making decisions on passing or rejecting products based on deviation from set parameters.Analysing customer complaints originating from the production environment.Microbiological swaps, allergen swabs and assisting with allergen testing on final product.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: R22 000,00 - R25 000,00 per monthEducation:Bachelors (Required)Experience:manufacturing environment: 5 years (Required)Food processing & Lab Analysis: 5 years (Required)License/Certification:BSC Chemistry/BSC Biochemistry (Required)B-Tech Degree in Chemistry (Required)BTech Degree in Food Technology (Required)
