
Senior Payroll Administrator

- Collect, calculate, and input data to ensure accurate salary, overtime, deductions, and leave processing.
- Review and prepare payroll for final approval and ensure payment is processed to all employees by the 25th of each month.
- Guide and support Payroll Administrators in daily tasks, ensuring consistent standards across all entities.
- Accurately process final pay, leave balances, and statutory reporting for exits; ensure timely setup for new employees.
- Monitor and ensure leave is captured correctly and leave balances are updated and reported monthly.
- Keep payroll processes aligned with legislation including BCEA, LRA, SARS, UIF, COIDA, and SDLA requirements.
- Compile monthly payroll reports, earnings summaries, and statutory reconciliations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Submit UIF declarations, respond to UI-19 requests, and ensure COIDA records are complete and submitted annually.
- Ensure all data in the payroll system is accurate and up to date; manage integrations with tax and HR systems.
- Provide timely support to employees and managers regarding payroll, deductions, benefits, and employment confirmations.
- Process and approve changes in salaries, deductions, job grades, or benefits following internal procedures.
- Assist in payroll audits by preparing accurate data, reports, and responding to audit queries.
- Degree or Diploma qualification in Payroll, HR or Finance.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in performing the full payroll function and 3 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.
- SAGE 300 Proficient
- Working knowledge of BCEA, LRA, EEA, UIA, and SDLA.
- Working knowledge of SARS legislation, e-filing and e@syfile, as well as bi-annual submissions.
- Working knowledge of COIDA and annual submissions.
- Excellent communication and computer skills.
