Job Description :A respected name in the consumer goods space, is seeking a strategic and hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead their Midrand-based distribution centre. This is a pivotal role focused on operational excellence, team leadership, and continuous improvement across all warehouse functions - from inbound logistics to final dispatch. This role reports to the Supply Chain Executive.Responsibilities:

Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, and dispatch

Implement and maintain SOPs, ensuring compliance with safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards

Lead and develop a high-performing warehouse team through training, shift planning, and performance management

Drive process optimisation using lean principles and warehouse technologies (WMS, barcode systems)

Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, logistics, and sales to align stock availability with business needs

Manage warehouse budgets and identify cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality

RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (postgrad or certifications like APICS/SAPICS a plus)8–10 years’ experience in warehouse/distribution management, with 5+ years in a leadership roleProven success in FMCG environments with strong inventory and compliance expertiseHands-on experience with ERP/WMS systems and process automationExceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting with a sharp eye for detailPerformance MetricsOrder accuracy, dispatch turnaround, and inventory reconciliationBudget adherence and cost-efficiencyCompliance with safety and hygiene standardsTeam engagement and retentionBenefits
