- Matric plus Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in server engineering and monitoring roles.
- Demonstrated experience in both on-premises and cloud-based server environments.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, Microsoft 365 Certified) and/or VMware certifications (e.g., VCP) would be an advantage.
- Experience with Exchange Online migrations or hybrid environments is desirable.
- Utilize OpManager and Site 24 (or similar monitoring tools) to implement proactive system monitoring, reporting, and alerting.
- Collaborate with Technical teams responsible for managing Infrastructure assets, to Manage, monitor, and maintain to ensure optimal performance and availability, including:
- on-premises and cloud server infrastructure
- software environments including Active Directory (AD), Exchange Server, SQL Server, and Office 365
- virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- network components such as LAN, WAN devices and links
- Perform regular patching, upgrades, and backups to maintain system integrity and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve server, network, and application-related issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement and enforce best practices for identity and access management, data protection, and compliance.
- Provide 2nd line support for escalated incidents and service requests.
- Document infrastructure, processes, and procedures to support operational excellence.
- Participate in infrastructure projects, system migrations, and cloud initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration (on-prem and cloud environments).
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange Server, and Office 365 administration.
- Proficiency in VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
- Experience with Opmanager and Site 24 (or equivalent monitoring tools) for system health checks and performance monitoring.
- Understanding of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, firewalls, etc.).
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
