Job Overview:We are seeking a Qualified Diesel Mechanic with extensive experience in the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of heavy-duty trucks and plant equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all diesel-powered vehicles and machinery are maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.Key Responsibilities:

Perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on trucks and plant equipment (e.g., TLBs, excavators, front-end loaders, graders, etc.).
Diagnose faults and conduct repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, braking systems, and electrical components.
Conduct routine inspections and safety checks on all equipment to ensure operational readiness and compliance with regulations.
Respond to on-site and workshop breakdowns, minimizing equipment downtime.
Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic reports.
Maintain accurate job cards, service records, and parts requisitions.
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Liaise with operators and supervisors to report faults, provide technical feedback, and schedule necessary repairs.

Minimum Requirements:

Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Red Seal or equivalent trade certification)
Minimum 35 years of post-trade experience working on trucks and plant equipment
Strong mechanical knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, diesel engines, transmissions, and drivetrains
