VJ 415572 - Field Service Technician – Electronic

• Maintain Digicom Super High Frequency(SHF 5.8Ghz) and Low Frequency(LF 2Mhz) communication systems down mineshafts.
• Commissioning of the Radio Frequency (RF) Minitalk Communication systems down mineshafts.
• The Mining Winders (Man, Service and Rock) are audited on separate days respectively to determine the extent of enhancement.
• Maintain the Escort Winder Brake intervention system.
• Maintain the Call / Lock Bell communication system.
• These Safety Technical systems are maintained by fault finding and replacement of electronic components where necessary.
• Computer Networking skill is necessary to enhance Radio Frequency communication between various electronic systems.
• Minimum of two weeks Standby are reserved by technicians owing to breakdown callouts that occur outside the normal working hours and during weekends.

• Minimum N6 Electronics Certificate / Diploma

• Understand Radio Frequency (RF) signal and process methodology.
• Read and understand the components of Printed Circuit Boards(PCB).
• Reading and understanding of electronic drawings / diagrams / schematics.
