Job SummaryAre you in the job market ORE do you need to change your environment?If you are a Metallurgist or a Chemical Engineer who finds joy in heavy metals (not necessarily the music), we need you.Our trusted client is looking for an experienced Plant Manager with the competencies listed below:

Grade 12 (With maths and science)
Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering Degree
10 years' post-qualification experience on metallurgical plants and projects with at least 5 years in a supervisory/management position
PGM flotation and chrome recovery plant experience

Responsibilities:

Operate the plant effectively as an effective business unit to an agreed business plan and process parameters
Develop a 2-5-year resource and mining strategy and coordinate ore and services to the plant
Compile and control of production, quality, and cost budgets
Create a high-performing team and a conducive employee relations climate - people management (HR and IR) in a unionized environment
Ensures adherence with legislative requirements and the company's Health and Safety Standards
Financial Management (operational and capital cost budgets)
Responsible for research and development
Maintain a good relationship with the clients at host-mine and liaise on all relevant plant issues
