Experience with managing contracts using FIDICwould be a benefitOVERVIEW:The primary function is to ensure that new projects are effectively executed (quality, cost, timing,
sustainability). To communicate to and coordinate all stakeholders while promoting and aligning internal
efforts to being efficient and clear.KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:o Lead project meetings to collect and disseminate information pertaining to projects
o Technical specification review, resolution and sign off
o Coordinate the collection and dissemination of technical information between/within the
company, supplier and client.
o Schedule and monitor program activity to achieve an “on-time” result including follow-up with
external suppliers to ensure timely response to action items
o Monitor program cost activity to achieve an “in budget” result
o Collect quotations utilising supplier information, cost standards, technical information &
engineering design
o Ensure that project charges are correctly represented for accounting’s closing process
o Evaluates project performance of functional areas.
o Selects and recommends procedures or development of methods
o Responsible for the development and preparation of technical specifications
o Coordinate designs, drawings, plans and specifications for projects, engineered systems,
technical equipment or components
o Prepares design computations and quantity estimates
o Assists in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction
schedules, environmental impact studies, permits and designs for projects
o Reviews and monitors project progress to assure quality and adherence to requirements of
contract documents
o Responsible for control of work-in-progress, ensures accurate supplier billings, monitors
outstanding accounts payable
o Receives instructions on assignments objectives, complex features and possible solutions
o Receives / solicits guidance on unusual and / or complex problems and supervisory approval
on work plans and safety compliance
o Ensures safety compliance during project executiono Engineering Project Budget creation and sign off
o Client liaison during project phases C1-C5
o Coordinator of Technical Site Visits
o Owner of the Functional Design Specification creation & sign off
o Project procurement
o Project expenditure tracking
o Project Gantt Charts
o Assist finance with cash flow forecasts
o Facilitation & approval of Technical Design Specifications
o Manage project execution on/ off site
o Coordinate system commissioning
o Ensure legal compliance of new installations
o Custodian of project documentation
