- Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
- Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
- Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
- Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
- Identifies discrepancies in results.
- Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
- Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
Develops design by gathering, correlating and analysing engineering data using computer software and established procedures and standards.When possible, collects and analyses information from discipline and interdisciplinary project BIM models.Fully develops the design content by applying both design and technical knowledge to ensure the production of high-quality outputs by following project timelines.Participates in the interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables, including BIM spatial reviews (virtual walkthroughs and clash detection.Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations, specifications, sketches, diagrams, specific discipline BIM models, drawings, reports and tender documents. Identifies discrepancies in results and proposes an approach to solving new problems encountered.Performs work under the agreed-upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.Coordinates with other discipline Engineers as applicable for the design process's continuity.Maintains and develops the highest level of technical skills and abilities, ensuring the quality of model production by BIM/CAD teams for accuracy to design instructions. Coordinates with authorities for scheme approvals.Qualifications
- BEng/BSc (Civil Engineering/Transportation) or equivalent
- Over 5 years experience in the role of a design engineer within the built environment
- Experience in Airfield/Aviation Civil Engineering Design is an absolute requirement
