Company and Job Description:Are you passionate about renewable energy, technical precision, and delivering quality that lasts? We're looking for a Solar QC Inspector to uphold excellence in the design, fabrication, and installation of solar PV systems across South Africa.
This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional with hands-on experience in solar mounting structures and electrical PV installations who’s ready to make a meaningful impact in the clean energy space.Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and verify the quality of solar PV installations — from mounting systems to electrical connections.
  • Monitor fabrication and assembly of structural components.
  • Perform field inspections on DC/AC wiring, inverters, junction boxes, and combiner panels.
  • Conduct system tests (polarity, insulation, performance) in line with IEC and SANS standards.
  • Identify and report non-conformances and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Ensure documentation is complete and accurate for client handover.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
  • Diploma or certification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Renewable Energy.
  • 2–5 years of experience in solar PV installations or quality inspection.
  • Strong knowledge of SANS 10142, IEC 62446, and industry safety standards.
  • Competency in reading and interpreting solar designs, technical drawings, and schematics.
  • Familiarity with tools like multimeters, torque wrenches, insulation testers, etc.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
  • PV GreenCard or relevant SAPVIA certification
  • Experience in both C&I and utility-scale solar projects
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and working within a QMS framework
