MILLWRIGHT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANWorcester.Minimum RequirementsMatric or N3 of NQF4Recognised Millwright Trade CertificateMulti-skilled in Fitting and Basic Electrical (done through recognised apprenticeship)Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in industrial plants.Valid drivers license & own transport required.Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Pneumatics and Utilities experience in a factory plant environment.Basic understanding of SCADA & PLC system (Not programming required)Role ResponsibilitiesStrive for maximum up-time of the plant & its equipment, in order to allow for it to achieve plant design purpose.Ensure well organised, clean & safe maintenance activities.Manage risks and hazards while attending to activities.Follow maintenance schedules and procedures for preventative maintenance of equipment.Prioritize activities to meet operational demand & sustainable life cycles of equipment.Co-ordinate and execute all maintenance activities on the plant in conjunction with the operations team`s requirements.Interact with key staff in various departments eg. OEM, engineering, operations & specialist sub-contractors whom are role-players on the plant.Able to work flexible hours to meet the operational demands. Incl over time & standby as & when required.Ability to install, maintain and repair a wide variety of equipment and machinery such as pumps, electric motors, fans, blowers, compressors, gear boxes, pipes, valves, actuators, electrical control gear, instrumentation systems, flow meters, level control instruments, wiring of panels, lay of cables etc.Sets up and operates various types of rigging such as hoists, cables, chains, cranes, pulleys to move, locate and/or relocate equipment.Able to read and interpret drawings, schematics, P&ID`s, OEM & O&M manuals to ascertain procedures & fault finding.Define recommendations whether to refurbish, repair or replace worn and defective parts or equipment.Document all activities by populating job cards with accurate relevant data & building a record of maintenance activities.Implement corrective actions learned.Maintain minimum stock levels of critical spares & consumables.Maintain plant assets eg tools, vehicle, plant.Manage a small team of technical assistants thru effective delegation & inspections.Train new team members on maintenance procedures and best practicesRequired SkillsAbility to analyse, fault find, and problem solve.Effectively communicate with various role-players across different organisations & departments. Verbally & written communication in English essential.Electrical up to 380V AC 3 phaseRelevant knowledge of OHS Act.RemunerationR40 000CTCPension fund
