Position: Unit Manager - Day Theatre (Post Basic Qualified)Location: East RandFacility: Private ClinicWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Unit Manager to lead the Day Theatre department within a well-established private healthcare facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care by maintaining compliance with professional nursing standards, ethical practices, and quality assurance requirements. You will also play a key role in staff development through mentoring, training, and capacity building.Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate high-quality nursing care in the Day Theatre.
Ensure compliance with SANC regulations, healthcare legislation, and accreditation standards.
Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to drive quality assurance.
Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to nursing staff.
Promote and maintain modern, evidence-based nursing practices within a specialised unit.
Requirements:
Nursing qualification: Diploma in General Nursing / BCur Degree (or equivalent NQF 7 qualification).
Postgraduate qualification in Operating Theatre Nursing Science.
Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
Proven experience in a Theatre environment.
Strong knowledge of legislation, nursing theory, and specialised clinical practice.
Demonstrated leadership skills within a clinical setting.
