Broker Consultant - Newrtown, WCFull job descriptionMain ProposeTo recruit, maintain and develop brokers and achieve set targetsMain Outputs and Responsibilities1. Develop and maintain sales and marketing planDevelop and implement an integrated sales & marketing planReview progress and compile report on progress made2. Recruit BrokersGrow distribution channel by sourcing and selecting appropriate brokersPrepare and present appropriate documentation of Brokers for the CCC3. Provide support to brokersEnsure brokers are equipped with sufficient documentation e.g. application formsHandle administration queries on behalf of dedicated brokersCheck business methods of dedicated brokers and advise accordinglyUpdate brokers on Assupol products and services regularlyEnsure computer software of brokers are up to date in respect of Assupol products and servicesBuild professional business relationships with brokers4. Offer training to brokers and their sub-agentsFacilitate product trainingFacilitate any other form of training that will enhance the broker’s productionKeep record of training interventionsForward all relevant training info to Head Office5. Identity and develop new and current marketsIdentify and develop new marketsNegotiate stop order marketsMaintain contacts with key decision makers and insurance industry resources (new and existing)Retain and increase market share in existing marketsManage the business retentionConduct products presentations in the market6. Maintain production targets and retain businessIdentify and develop new marketsEnsure and monitor set production targets are achievedMaintain business retentionKnowledge and SkillsFormal EducationMatricDiploma/Degree/Long Term Insurance qualification (a qualification that is recognised by the FSCA)Technical/Legal CertificationRegulatory Examination Level 1: RepresentativesRegulatory Examination Level 1: Key Individual (Advantage)Experience2 years Project Management2 years’ experience in the Long-Term Insurance industryAtleast 1 years advice and intermediary experience in category A,B,C and retail benefits1 year’s management experience in the insurance industryCOMPETENCIESKNOWLEDGELife IndustryLegislation FAIS, NCA, FSCA, LTIAFinancial Management ProductsSKILLSCommunication Verbal and writtenPresentationResearchNetworkFacilitationCoachingRecruitmentMarketingReport WritingPlanning and organisingATTRIBUTESPerseverancePeople centric
