Work closely with accounting team members and observe their daily responsibilities.Assist with research, filing, data entry, and maintaining thorough financial records.Help prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, invoices, and other documents.Gain experience with bookkeeping software e.g. Sage, XeroHandle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and professionalism.Work with commission statements and product providers to facilitate timely monthly commission reports.Collaborate with the accounting team to compile and analyse data, track information, and support both the company and its clients.Take on additional tasks and projects to expand their knowledge of accounting and office operations.RequirementsGrade 12 or relevant school qualification with Maths or Accounting.
NDip or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance beneficial.
5 years' experience working in a finance department with basic understanding of accounting and financial principles / exposure to the financial services industry.
Experience on bookkeeping software, Sage, Xero would be beneficial.
Knowledge of bookkeeping up to trial balance and familiarity with accounts payable and receivable processes.
Introductory knowledge of VAT requirements.
Strong math skills and proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
High level of accuracy, responsibility, and efficiency.
Curious mindset to take on new challenges and learn extensively.
Fluent in English & understanding Afrikaans would be beneficial.
