Commercial Workshop Foreman

• This permanent role offers the opportunity to lead a well-equipped workshop and take ownership of the technical and operational performance of the team.
• Youll work closely with workshop staff, technicians, and service teams to ensure efficiency, quality, and productivity.
• This opportunity lies within a structured, high-volume commercial vehicle workshop environment servicing heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles.

• Oversee and coordinate the daily workshop operations for commercial vehicles and equipment.
• Supervise and mentor diesel mechanics and technical support staff.
• Conduct job card reviews, monitor repair quality, and ensure adherence to service standards.
• Schedule and prioritise repair and maintenance tasks based on urgency and client needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and productive working environment.
• Manage workshop productivity KPIs, timekeeping, and job allocation.
• Perform diagnostic checks and provide technical guidance when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and workshop admin regarding job progress, completion, and challenges.

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Trade Tested Red Seal)
• Minimum 7 years post-trade experience
• At least 5 years in a workshop supervisory / foreman role
• Strong experience within a Commercial Workshop or Dealership
• Proficient in fault finding, diagnostics, and technical problem solving
• Excellent staff supervision, planning, and admin capabilities
• Good communication and interpersonal skills (English essential)
• Valid Drivers Licence (Code 08 or 14 preferred)
• Computer literacy (job cards, workshop systems, basic reporting)
• Traceable references required
