Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded.
  • Ensure the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the General Ledger.
  • Process accounts receivable/payable in a timely manner.
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements up to trial balance.
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
  • Comply with relevant legal requirements, including VAT, tax filings, and other statutory requirements.
  • Support the Senior Bookkeeper and finance team with ad-hoc projects and tasks.
  • Utilize SAP software for various accounting and financial processes.
Requirements:
  • Financial Tertiary education is preferable.
  • Minimum 7 years of bookkeeping experience up to Trial Balance, ideally within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles gained in an importing / exporting environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organising abilities.
  • Good with numbers and the processing of financial information.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with honesty and integrity.
  • A team player with good communication skills.
