Group Head of Engineering

• Develop and implement the technology strategy aligned with overall business goals.
• Provide operational support to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) actively contributing to the successful execution of the Technology department's strategic plan.
• Drive the execution of technology initiatives and projects.
• Ensure alignment of technology efforts with the organization's long-term objectives.

• Manage technology department finances, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Collaborate with the CTO to negotiate vendor contracts and payment structures, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.

• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of technology infrastructure.
• Ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of technology systems.

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects within adopted project management framework.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

• Align technology team structure to ensure optimal efficiency and delivery against agreed priorities.
• Coordinate and provide guidance to technology managers, fostering a culture of leadership, career development, and coaching for success among technology professionals.

• Provide recommendations and areas for action or improvement that align to the technology strategy and business objectives.

• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance organizational efficiency.

• Honours degree in Information Systems or an equivalent four-year qualification with a Science or Information Systems major.
• Relevant Technical Certifications.

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a technical related field of which 3 to 5 years was managing an technology function.
• In-depth knowledge of current and emerging technologies, web systems architecture, and IT infrastructure.
• Strong leadership skills with effective people management, coaching, and outstanding communication abilities.
• Strategic thinking to align technology initiatives with overall business goals and contribute to organizational strategy.
• Proficient in technical project management frameworks
