Our client in the FMCG industry is looking to employ a Technical Application Specialists to their team.Location: Eastern Cape, Free State, Nelspruit and Polokwane.Requirements:BSc/BTech in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, or a related field.0–2 years’ experience (recent graduates are welcome).Exposure to food product development, processing, or applications will be advantageous.Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel nationally. * BilingualProficiency in Afrikaans would be beneficial.Responsibilities:Act as the technical specialist for an assigned product portfolio (Co-Ex, Equipment, or Ingredients).Conduct product trials, demonstrations, and application development.Provide technical support and troubleshooting for customers and the sales team.Train and support Area Managers to strengthen their technical understanding of products.Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and customer training sessions.Manage technical projects such as new product rollouts, equipment implementations, and validation studies.Partner with internal teams to align customer requirements with product innovation.Document trials, test results, and project progress.Provide technical advice, optimisation, and application guidance directly to customers.Conduct on-site visits, training sessions, and technical troubleshooting.Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards (HACCP, ISO).Support validation of product specifications, shelf life, and performance testing.Should you not be contacted within two weeks of applying, you may consider your application unsuccessful.
