- Relevant welding certification or trade qualification.
- Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
- Proficiency in different welding methods (MIG, TIG, Stick/ARC).
- Knowledge of metals, materials, and appropriate welding techniques.
- Good physical condition and stamina for handling heavy equipment and working in various positions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Familiarity with safety standards and PPE requirements in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Perform welding tasks on various metals and components using appropriate welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, ARC).
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Set up welding equipment and select the correct materials and tools for each job.
- Inspect welded surfaces and structures to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Operate grinders, cutters, and other fabrication tools as needed.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in proper working condition.
- Adhere to all workplace safety regulations and company procedures.
- Assist with the fabrication and assembly of metal components and structures.
- Perform basic maintenance on welding machinery and report any faults.
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to meet project deadlines.
