The primary responsibility is to contribute to the successful release of high-quality mobile solutions through comprehensive testing, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and meticulous bug tracking.Responsibilities will include:

Conduct end-to-end testing for mobile applications, emphasizing functionality, usability and performance.
Collaborate with development teams to reproduce and debug reported issues efficiently.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including automated and manual testing methodologies.
Identify and resolve compatibility issues across various mobile devices, ensuring optimal user experience.
Contribute to performance testing and security testing initiatives to enhance overall mobile app quality.

THE COMPETENCIES WE'RE AFTER

Thorough understanding of mobile testing processes, including automated and manual testing.
Proficiency in identifying and resolving compatibility issues across different mobile devices.
Collaboration and effective communication with cross-functional teams.
Analytical skills for bug tracking, reporting, and prioritization.
Adaptability to the dynamic mobile landscape, staying updated on the latest technologies and operating systems.
Thorough understanding of all the different testing methodologies related to mobile testing.

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

+5 years experience as a QA Engineer.
Mobile Platforms: Proficient in testing iOS and Android applications; knowledge of the latest operating systems and updates.
Device Compatibility Testing: Extensive experience testing on a diverse range of mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets.
Test Automation: Skilled in automated testing tools such as Appium, XCTest, Espresso, Playright etc.
Manual Testing: Thorough understanding of manual testing processes, including exploratory testing, usability testing, and regression testing.
Bug Tracking and Reporting: Experience using bug tracking tools such as Jira, Testmo, etc.
Performance Testing: Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or Azure Load Test.
Security Testing: Awareness of mobile security best practices and experience in conducting security testing on mobile applications.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION:

Grade 12 or equivalent (essential)
A relevant tertiary level qualification (BSc in Computer Science, BTech, BEng) or equivalent
ISTQB foundation certification
ISTQB Mobile Application Testing (CT-MAT)
IMTQN Certified Mobile Application Tester (CMAT) + advanced
