- Possess an in-depth grasp of the Group's business structure and financial dealings and propose strategies for enhancing quality and punctuality across business locations in Africa.
- Construct models for analysing financial data effectively.
- Forge connections with crucial stakeholders from various business units within the group.
- Give an overview of the Group's day-to-day cash flow administration, incorporating predictions for daily cash flows.
- Balance sheet evaluation to make recommendations for appropriate gearing ratios.
- Periodically conduct comprehensive reviews of corporate end-of-month files and supervise the yearly budget and biannual projection process.
- Take part in meetings of the Capital Allocation & Audit Committee when necessary.
- Oversee the audit progression to guarantee conformity with Group reporting deadlines.
- Stay updated on shifts in tax regulations and gauge their consequences for the Group.
- Qualified CA(SA) with more than 10 years relevant post articles experience
- Previous experience within the FMCG, Retail or Property sector.
- Understanding of BI tools for financial analysis would be advantageous.
- Previous exposure to emerging markets or Africa and the ability to deal with regulators outside of South Africa.
- Willing to travel when required - especially during the initial phase of getting to know the business.
- Must be willing to work on-site 5 days per week
