  • Develop and implement SHERQ policies, procedures, and practices in line with industry regulations and standards.
  • Provide guidance, support, and training to employees on SHERQ matters.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, analyse root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor and report on key SHERQ performance indicators.
  • Ensure the effective management of occupational health and safety programs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver SHERQ training programs to promote awareness and competence.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in SHERQ practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree/ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a SHERQ Officer or similar role, preferably in the Food Manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant safety, health, environment, and quality regulations and standards.
  • Excellent understanding of risk management principles and methodologies.
  • Experience in conducting inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Professional certifications in SHERQ, such as NEBOSH or SAMTRAC, are highly desirable.
