Oversee and manage day-to-day transactional finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accuracy
Ensure timely and accurate month-end close processes, with proper reconciliations and adjustments
Prepare and review management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet schedules
Monitor and analyse overheads and operational costs across multiple entities
Manage local compliance requirements such as tax filings, VAT returns, and payroll processing in coordination with external advisors.
Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard financial integrity and reduce risk
Lead, develop, and support the transactional finance team, ensuring effective delegation and performance management
Collaborate with group finance to support cash flow management, intercompany transactions, and supplier payments
Drive process improvements and contribute to automation initiatives to increase efficiency
Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on operational finance mattersSkills & Experience:
CA(SA) / CIMA or relevant finance designation
Minimum 8 – 10 years of finance experience
Open to getting hands on and operational, even in duties that might be seen “below your level” as this is a start-up type environment
Exposure to implementing and setting up financial controls, processes, procedures and more
Strong leadership ability and experience in setting up a team
Exposure to foreign entities and multi-currency
Start-up or new division set up experience highly beneficialQualification:
Relevant finance designation such as CA(SA) / CIMA or equivalent
Completed tertiary degree in Finance
