Join a Global Leader Driving Energy Solutions Across AfricaSeeking an experienced Ledger Controller to join their high-performing team in Cape Town. In this critical role, you will take full ownership of financial control functions across one or more African entities, ensuring accurate accounting, tax compliance, and treasury management. Working closely with the Country Controller, Accounting Shared Services, and other regional and corporate stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, and compliance with both IFRS and local regulations.Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and optimise end-to-end accounting processes including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Cash, Costing, and Inventory.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting aligned with internal standards and external requirements.
  • Partner with Treasury to manage daily cash flow, analyse FX exposure, and support broader treasury strategy across African operations.
  • Collaborate with Tax Managers and Controllers to ensure compliance with tax legislation and accuracy in tax reporting.
  • Serve as a trusted finance partner to operations, ensuring data accuracy and insights that drive better business decisions.
  • Liaise with regional teams and Shared Services to continuously improve accounting efficiency and controls.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
(CA(SA) or equivalent qualification preferred) * Minimum 3 years' post-article experience, ideally in a combination of audit and multinational corporate environments.
  • Strong command of IFRS and experience reviewing tax submissions and returns.
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-able to collaborate across teams and levels.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
