- In-depth knowledge of DevOps best practices, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) methodologies
- Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker
- Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform)
- Solid experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Expertise in configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and integrating security into the DevOps lifecycle
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in high-pressure situations
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies in the DevOps space
- Matric
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- A Master's degree (advantageous)
- Proven certification in relevant DevOps technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in DevOps, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role
- Demonstrated success in leading and managing DevOps teams in complex, enterprise-level environments
- Proven experience in implementing and optimizing DevOps processes and pipelines
