They are in search of a passionate Resident Engineer to join their team!On-site | Market related | Cape townWe are seeking a Resident Engineer, who will act as the “policeman on the ground" - ensuring Engineering quality and compliance across all site activities.This role bridges the gap between design and construction, while providing oversight, technical support, and guidance to ensure that our projects meet the highest standards.Responsibilities:
● Lead Engineering quality processes, including quality manuals, method statements, and QCPs.
● Ensure compliance with the companies QMS across Engineering and Construction activities.
● Act as the point of contact for site RFIs and quality-related queries.
● Liaise between Construction and Engineering teams to resolve design and site integration challenges.
● Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with design intent, specifications, and safety regulations.
● Report regularly on quality performance, risks, and opportunities for improvement.Qualifications:
● Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
● Eligibility with ECSA preferred.
● Hands-on experience in site-based Engineering and quality assurance in Construction.
● Strong knowledge of QMS frameworks, method statements, and quality control practices.
● Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
