- Coordinate the planning and execution in line with client specifications and legal requirements for the events and the venues.
- Liaise with senior on-site duty manager, ensuring smooth operation and appropriate response to incidents.
- Liaise with local authorities, licensing officers, and emergency services where appropriate.
- Ensure all H&S and Safety files for events and venues are up to date and distributed correctly as per requirements.
- Ensure the venue complies with the Licensing Act 2003, including operating within permitted hours, upholding licensing objectives, and supervising the Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) obligations.
- Maintain and manage incident logs, refusals registers, and staff training records as required by local licensing authorities.
- Ensure Temporary Event Notices (TENs) and any relevant permissions are filed and approved in advance of events.
- Conduct routine venue inspections and risk assessments to ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other relevant regulations.
- Develop and implement fire safety, crowd control, and evacuation procedures.
- Maintain documentation for all health & safety audits, equipment checks, and training activities.
- Develop training plans and processes and coordinate mandatory training for staff, including alcohol licensing awareness, first aid, fire marshal duties, manual handling, and more across both the events and venues.
- Monitor staff certification and renewals (e.g., SIA badges, First Aid).
- Ensure that serious incidents (e.g., injuries, fights, lost property, safeguarding concerns) are received from the event staff and stored electronically
- Experience in a similar role within licensed venues, bars, nightclubs, or event spaces.
- Working knowledge of UK alcohol licensing laws and health and safety regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience liaising with local councils and regulatory authorities
