
Costing/Warranty Clerk

- Cost labour on all work performed and ensure accuracy between work requested, work completed, and parts booked out.
- Verify correct margins on outwork, oils, consumables, and labour rates, using the correct OPE codes.
- Apply and maintain full understanding of manufacturer and group warranty, costing, and claims procedures.
- Accurately interpret technical reports from work orders and job cards into real-time costing.
- Ensure all documents are correctly attached to job cards and job cards are closed off timeously.
- Process completed jobs daily to maintain an accurate WIP list.
- Monitor, reconcile, and report on outstanding WIP and claims.
- Handle warranty claims submissions and follow up with manufacturers.
- Liaise with the Service Manager and relevant departments to resolve queries and ensure compliance.
- Must be in possession of a Matric certificate
- At least 2–3 years’ experience in a Costing/Warranty Clerk role in the motor industry.
- Working hours Monday - Friday 7h30 to 17h30
- Working every second Saturday from 8h30 to 13h00 overtime paid
- Knowledge of dealer management systems (e.g. E1, DMS codes, Menu codes).
- Strong numeric and administrative skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.
