- Responsible for the sales and marketing of the Company’s Product range, including DICKEY-john, RDS, Hexagon Agriculture and Leica Machine Control.
- It is required that the Sales Representative to have good general knowledge of the entire company product range.
- To establish new business opportunities into, as well as maintain sales activities within the various Agricultural industries through a relationship-based approach.
- To have a good general knowledge base of client profiles and market activities.
- Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
- Responsible for generation of marketing material to assist in product retail.
- Responsible for initiatives and the execution thereof to promote Company products and services. These initiatives must be managed and reported on a bi-weekly basis.
- Responsible for the generation of quotations, business proposals, costing and legal agreements with customers.
- Maintain and update a quotation register and sales forecast on a weekly basis.
- Negotiating service pricing, terms, and conditions with customers.
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
- To be well informed and up to date on product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- To attend industry related events and represent the company at such events.
- To establish customer relationship profiles per client.
- Maintain a reliable, up-to-date customer record system.
- Responsible for the demonstration of products and entry level support on operation of the products.
- To keep and up to date sales forecast on expected sales and to communicate with F&A and Sales department around quotation, orders and schedule of supply.
- Responsible for communicating any project related functions with the Projects department, especially with regards to pricing and system requirements.
- Responsible for communicating any technical related functions with the Technical department, especially with regards to calibrations, pricing and system requirements.
- To ensure that all activities comply with the ISO procedures adopted by the Company.
- Matric or equivalent
- Relevant tertiary qualification will be highly advantageous
- 3 + Years’ experience in a similar Sales role
- Experience in the agricultural or technology sectors
- A strong understanding of farming practices and agricultural technology is essential
- Ability to understand and explain complex technical information related to precision agriculture.
- Ability to meet and exceed targets
- Be prepared to travel
