Heavy Lift Technician

• Perform on-site and off-site repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy lift equipment and port machinery

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment breakdowns efficiently

• Carry out field service duties including servicing of internal combustion and electric forklifts

• Interpret and resolve issues related to auto-electrical and hydraulic systems

• Liaise directly with customers to ensure quality service delivery and issue resolution

• Maintain clean and organised work environments in accordance with SHE requirements

• Ensure accurate job documentation and feedback to service managers

• Matric and a recognised Trade Test (Auto-Electrician / Diesel Mechanic / Millwright)

• At least 5 years’ hands-on experience working with heavy lift equipment or forklifts

• Strong understanding of hydraulics, auto-electrical systems, and diagnostics

• Valid driver’s license and own transport

• Ability to work independently and travel to customer sites

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Sober habits, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety
