A leading manufacturer in plastic extrusion and injection moulding, is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Manager to join their dynamic operations team in East Rand, Gauteng. With a reputation for high-quality production and innovative design, they are looking for a hands-on, technically skilled leader with a strong background in plastics or high-speed manufacturing.Duties & ResponsibilitiesOversee all facility infrastructure including compressors, chillers, cooling towers, and transformersManage preventative and reactive maintenance on AC/DC motors, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, and panel wiringPerform expert-level PLC and VSD/VFD programming and troubleshootingLead and manage a skilled team of 7 maintenance techniciansExecute preventative maintenance systems and fault elimination strategiesConduct root cause analysis and ensure uptime of equipment across injection moulding and extrusion linesDrive health & safety compliance across facilities and utilitiesMinimum RequirementsProven experience in a similar facilities or maintenance management roleExpert-level knowledge of electrical panel wiring, PLC/VSD fault-finding, and industrial utilitiesBackground in plastics manufacturing (extrusion and/or injection moulding highly preferred)FMCG manufacturing background will be consideredStrong leadership skills with the ability to lead both operationally and strategicallyRelevant trade certificate or technical qualification requiredReady to take the lead at one of SA's top manufacturing facilities?RPO Recruitment can help you secure your next opportunity.
