
Quantity Surveyor (Roads) - Construction Industry

- Prepare and review tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost control advice.
- Measure and value work done on-site, including progress claims and final accounts.
- Track project variations, claims, and additional costs.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, site teams, and clients.
- Maintain project cost tracking, reporting, and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with relevant contractual terms, legislation, and company policies.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare subcontract agreements.
- Assist in procurement strategies and cost risk analysis.
- National Diploma in Building/BTech degree in Quantity Surveying
- Between 5 and 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, with specialisation in road construction projects
- Experience working with government or municipal road infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC, GCC, or NEC contracts
- Proficient in MS Excel and CCS Candy
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations in South Africa
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and own reliable transport
