Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Administrator to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and processing of the company's payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role requires a high level of confidentiality, excellent numerical skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.Responsibilities:Assist with Payroll Processing: Support the payroll department in the preparation and processing of payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.Data Management: Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files, including leaves, working hours, and bank details.Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.Reporting: Assist in preparing relevant payroll reports for management and external agencies.Inquiries and Issues Resolution: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and resolve them in a timely and efficient manner.Collaboration: Work closely with the HR department to synchronize employee data and resolve discrepancies.Continuous Improvement: Assist in reviewing and improving payroll processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.Key Skills:Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of payroll processing.Numerical Aptitude: Strong numerical skills to accurately calculate wages, deductions, and contributions.Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines.Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance colleagues.Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying issues and resourceful in resolving them efficiently.Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks) and MS Office, particularly Excel.SAGE payroll is a must.Qualifications:Education: High school diploma required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.Experience: 1-2 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role preferred.Certifications: Payroll certification is a plus.
