Chief Financial OfficerREF: KK610Market Related SalaryMount Edgecombe, KZNOur client is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to join their team.Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, ensuring the financial integrity, sustainability, and growth of the company. You will be responsible for managing the financial actions of the company, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, reporting, treasury, tax, compliance, risk management, and investor relations.This position is critical in supporting strategic initiatives, managing financial risks, and optimizing profitability within the industry.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Strategic Leadership:Partnering with the CEO and Executive team to develop and implement business strategiesDriving financial performance in alignment with strategic objectives and long-term growth targetsFinancial Planning & Analysis:Leading the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processesProviding financial insight and analysis to support commercial decisions and improve profitabilityMonitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and preparing financial dashboards and reports for stakeholdersFinancial Reporting & Compliance:Overseeing the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local tax regulationsEnsuring compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements including SARS, Companies Act, and industry-specific complianceTreasury & Cash Flow Management:Managing the company's capital structure, working capital, cash flow, and banking relationshipsOptimising liquidity and funding strategies to support operational and investment needsRisk Management & Controls:Developing and implementing robust internal controls and risk management frameworksEnsuring insurance, credit, foreign exchange, and operational risks are identified and mitigated effectivelyStakeholder Engagement:Acting as the primary contact for auditors, tax authorities, financial institutions and shareholdersPresenting financial results and strategic plans to the Board of Directors and key stakeholdersLeadership & Team Development:Leading, mentoring, and developing the finance team to support the company's growthPromoting a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and strong ethicsREQUIREMENTS:CA(SA)Minimum 10-15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing, chemicals, agriculture or related sectorsProven experience in a CFO or senior finance role within a mid-to-large enterpriseDeep understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, supply chain finance, and export/import financeExperience in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and financial modeling toolsStrategic thinking and strong business acumenExceptional financial and analytical skills, including IFRS and consolidation skillsStrong leadership and people management abilitiesGroup financial reporting packs for submission to a listed companyPreparation of Group companies annual financial statements
