The IT Developer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and support of the OWLS system. The successful candidate will develop and maintain SQL reports and templates, resolve system and business issues, and provide end-user support. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset are key to success in this role.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain complex SQL reports and OWLS system templates.
- Perform unit and system testing for OWLS changes/enhancements.
- Analyse and resolve system issues effectively.
- Provide training and guidance to users, handling queries as needed.
- Conduct operational monitoring and reporting of OWLS.
- Manage security and user administration of business applications.
- Assist with IT audits and quarterly security reporting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure business alignment and service delivery.
- A 3 to 4-year IT-related qualification (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.).
- Advanced training in SQL programming.
- Minimum of 5-7 years' IT experience, including:
- Strong exposure to SQL programming and database systems.
- General IT knowledge (e.g., Windows, Excel, FTP).
- Experience in large, complex systems support.
- Exposure to financial or insurance business environments is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Effective time management and planning.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- High attention to detail with a proactive approach.
