Our exceptional growth is creating a once in a life-time opportunities to suitable incumbents.Job Purpose:The Online Centre Manager is accountable for shaping the academic success of online students through a climate of hospitable education and leadership; whilst driving a successful business unit that yields financial returns for the institution and supports the business in achieving overall financial targets through student growth.Duties & Responsibilities:Online Campus Management Plan Implementation
  • Implement the online campus management plan as aligned to the overall business plan
  • Define plans and objectives per division to achieve online campus targets
  • Define budget based on targets and objectives
  • Align the online academic schedule to the budget and objectives
  • Develop campus operational plan across all business units
  • Assess functional units, understand operations and build operational efficiencies by optimising people and systems
  • Monitor the progress and achievement of plans and make adjustments as required
Online Campus Sales Pipeline Management and Growth
  • Drive a sustainable sales pipeline.
  • Assess the institution's products and services to ensure that they remain relevant and suit the needs of the business unit.
  • Engage with relevant sales unit to introduce new products.
  • Manage and monitor conversion rates for First Time Enrolments (FTENs) and returning students.
  • Provide a plan to guide sales teams to achieve goals based on historical records
  • Identify and solidify new business to support the growth and sustainability of the business unit
  • Scan the environment to ensure product offering, pricing, and marketing activities align with market positioning.
  • Contribute to the marketing strategy and implement online campus-based marketing programs.
Academic Excellence Management
  • Monitor academic performance and take the necessary steps to achieve academic targets
  • Oversee and monitor the effective functioning of Academic Faculties by focusing on Teaching and Learning (T & L)
  • Implement in time interventions to manage academic excellence
Financial Management
  • Provide detailed inputs into the distance financial model to achieve optimal financial sustainability.
  • Contribute to the annual budget planning process and compile the annual budget
  • Manage, monitor and control the budget and take corrective action as appropriate
Driving a Customer Centric Culture
  • Manage and maintain internal and external relations.
  • Drive a student-centric environment and culture that focuses on achieving a student experience in line with the IIE Rosebank College institution value proposition.
  • Continually review current systems and processes and refine where necessary to ensure an optimal student experience.
  • Manage the improvement of feedback provided to students through regular updates and staff training.
Online Facilities and Systems Management
  • Manage the facility accommodating online staff.
  • Manage the provision of the required equipment to provide online services.
  • Manage the environment to ensure that it is fit for purpose.
  • Manage compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
  • Manage office signage to ensure visibility to the unit.
Reporting
  • Compile monthly reports relating to online campus performance
  • Compile project management reports as needed
People Management
  • Conduct performance planning session, track and monitor performance.
  • Conduct performance reviews in accordance with policies and procedures and take corrective actions where necessary.
  • Complete Performance Management contracts and documentation.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to employees on how to improve and sustain their performance.
  • Manage Personal Development conversations and the completion of Personal Development Plans.
  • Lead the department by managing appointments, promotions, and industrial relations issues conjunction with the Human Resources Support Service Unit.
  • Conduct disciplinary actions as per the company's policy and procedure where necessary.
Minimum Requirements:Qualifications
  • NQF Level 8 Qualification in Business (Minimum)
  • NQF Level 9 Qualification in Business (Advantageous)
ExperienceMinimum
  • Management of a Business ideally in the education sector (3 Years)
  • Business experience; including financial management, budgeting etc. (5 Years)
  • Staff Management; including but not limited to, Recruitment and Selection of resources, Performance Management and Management of Discipline (3 Years)
Advantageous
  • Experience in the educational sector (3 Years)
  • Experience in managing a distance learning environment (3 Years)
