DriversDepartment: Production Rotary PlantAccountabilities:Financial Perspective:Identify operational, labour and capex requirements within Production Rotary Plant for efficient delivery of targets and submit recommendations to the Operations managerReview and authorise payments within limits of authority and in line with approved budget and policy and submit for final processingOrder consumables for Production Rotary Plant functions per plant needs and priorities within budgetary provisionsCalculate raw material requirements to meet rotary output objectives per customer orders taking into account transformation of raw materials through plant production processes kiln process factorsObtain quotations from service providers as these relate to Production Rotary Plant and/or development, evaluate quotations and make recommendations to the Operations managerEnsure Production Rotary Plant functions work within disciplines of efficiency and cost-effectiveness to minimise/eliminate waste, rework and break downsInternal Business Process Perspective:Establish/develop Production Rotary Plant checklists to ensure production processes are thoroughly, regularly and routinely actioned per daily and weekly plans received from customer purchase ordersCalculate raw material inputs for production processesUpdate production boards manually and develop spreadsheets to record, track and monitor production activities and key metricsApply innovative solutions to Production Rotary Plant problems given an aging plant environment (equipment and infrastructure) to meet production requirementsArticulate in production meetings engineering-related problems and provide value-added inputs drawing on production knowledge, skills and experienceParticipate actively in plant conditioning monitoring processes, and take appropriate action and/or make recommendations for problem resolution/improvement to plant/production management?Solve routine Production Rotary Plant problems by gathering data, analysing data, identifying patterns and trends, drawing conclusions and formulating actions to be taken, referring as required to line management where decision needs to be escalatedDeploy people and resources within limits of authority to address production targets (and problems) in the Production Rotary Plant production process safely and cost-effectively for continued plant efficiency and availabilityEnsure safety through the implementation of and adherence to safety policies and housekeeping practices, safety auditsMake use of approved third party resources as required to support Production Rotary Plant production through properly constituted, approved. contractual arrangements – to meet production targets and deadlines (e.g. kiln maintenance services)Customer Perspective:Interact closely with customer purchase orders to understand Production Rotary Plant capacity and other requirements to meet weekly and other planning objectivesParticipate actively and constructively in Production Rotary Plant production meetings and forums to articulate production issues and priorities, by drawing on technical knowledge, skills and experienceEnsure engineering support understands Production Rotary Plant productions needs and priorities through close partner shipping, and through appropriate problem and root-cause analysis for correct technical diagnosesMake relevant inputs into supplier and other service stakeholder contracts to ensure continuity of supplies and services for Production Rotary Plant at required standards and at cost-effective ratesEngage closely with suppliers to ensure high-value/high-impact raw material supplies meet Production Rotary Plant production needs and prioritiesOrganisation and Growth Perspective:Allocate work to direct reports as required and provide appropriate level of supervision, control and/or delegation in the Production Rotary Plan production environment drawing on situational leadership and supervisory techniquesTake remedial action as appropriate to ensure quality of work outputs are consistently, safely and cost-effectively sustained to meet Production Rotary Plant production goals and objectivesReview proactively performance of direct reports in terms of performance agreement, and participatively discuss performance successes and gaps, agreeing
